TURNING 60

Turning 60 was huge for me. It was like a window opened and I could see that I had a second chance. I was on my own, I had lost 70 lbs, I had a good job and my family was raised. I decided that for once I was going to matter to me!

I transformed myself from a "frumpy" housewife in my husband's sweats to a woman who values herself on every level. It's been fun and I've learned a lot.

I will be turning 65 this summer and now when I speak to the "mirror on the wall" each morning he says,

"My Dear... you may not be the youngest, the skinniest, the smartest or the most beautiful woman in the world, (by the way, she doesn't exist) but you ARE looking good. Put a smile on your face, be careful what comes out of your mouth and get out there!"

Gracie... I'm in love all over again!
